New Tyler Maddox Simms’ Films at
IndyCar MATV World Championships

September 14th & 15th, at the

Auto Motor Speedway in Fontana, CA

Actor Lorenzo Lamas, writer, director & producer Tyler Maddox Simms, and Panther Racing Principal Joe Cain will make appearances!!!

Los Angeles, CA – September 10, 2012

Joe Cain and Tyler Maddox Simms have announced a promotional collaboration with Panther Racing and Maddox Entertainment at the Indy Car Weekend MATV World Championships on September 14th and 15th at the Auto Club Motor Speedway, in Fontana, CA.

Panther Racing’s #4 Indy Car, driven by JR Hildebrand, will feature decals for two films: Who’s Watching the Kids, now available on DVD, on the rear wing, and Beverly Barrio, in pre-production, on the front wings. Tyler Maddox Simms is the writer/director for both films. Who’s Watching the Kids stars Lavell Crawford, Elise Neal, and Joe Torry, and Beverly Barrio is scheduled to feature Wayne Lopez, Lorenzo Lamas, and Manny Streetz.

“I am delighted to introduce my films to the IndyCar audience,” explained Tyler Maddox Smith. “Since I produce entertainment primarily for the urban audience, this collaboration might seem a bit unusual. In fact, auto racing in general, and Indy racing in particular, has a growingly diverse fan base.”

“Tyler’s films are great, positive family entertainment, and so is IndyCar racing,” continued Joe Cain. “We loved the rags to riches story of Beverly Barrio and also the kid-centered adventure of Who’s Watching the Kids. We have great fans here and we wanted to do something special for them while generating excitement for Maddox Entertainment.”

The MAV-TV American Real 500 will be broadcast live on NBC Sports Network on September 15th at 8:30 pm (ET), with additional coverage provided by the IMS Radio Network, XM Channel 94 and Sirius Channel 212. Practice, qualifying and race coverage is also available on the new IndyCar Mobile app from Verizon.

"FREE" FILM BOOT CAMP - Compassion Care Center

Most people associate today’s youth with text messaging, Facebook, and long conversations on cell phones. Unfortunately, not all teens have it this easy. Each year, more and more young adults are subject to different challenges that no one, let alone a young person, should have to endure. Whether they’re sent to juvenile hall, homeless, or coming from an abusive home,  adolescents are in desperate need of support and love.

The Maddox Foundation sponsors a "Free" Film Boot Camp, which provides training in various areas of film making, including editing, lighting, filming, etc.  This year The Maddox Foundation teamed with Compassion Care Center to offer a film boot camp.  The program was quite a success with a 90% completion rate, and a documentary was made as the class project.  The students put their training to work!

The Gonzalez family, a poor Hispanic family from East Los Angeles, suddenly win $30 million in the lottery, they gather up their things--and their wacky Grandfather--and move to ritzy Beverly Hills.  Entering this new world of caviar and cocktail parties, the family must adjust to being uncomfortable fish out of water. When they move to Beverly Hills after receiving their windfall, they discover that being able to make the house payments doesn't mean that they'll fit in with their new neighbors, who wage a battle, packed full of laughs!

The war really heats up when Sylvia ("tacos 'n' tortillas") falls in love with her "champagne and caviar" neighbor, creating this crazy casserole of laughs! Things are turned upside-down in this “rags to riches” story.  Beverly Barrio is a irreverent comedy!
